Title: Aliens/Mythical Creature
Description: A Discussion!

Brando the Renegade - July 14, 2009 06:26 AM (GMT)
Personally I believe Aliens and Mythical Beasts Exist.

Here we'll discuss monsers and aliens. Whether they exist or not.
Give your explanations for your beliefs.

Someone choose a monster to start with.

Xanando - July 14, 2009 06:29 AM (GMT)
I KNOW that aliens exist. However, weve only found bacteria so far.

Brando the Renegade - July 14, 2009 06:31 AM (GMT)
I bKnow aliens exist because and this sounds rather odd, but I was abducted by aliens when I was six.

Xanando - July 14, 2009 07:21 AM (GMT)
Well although i cant prove it, my family is psychic when it pertains to our own lives, but its higly improbable that you were abducted by aliens.

Brando the Renegade - July 14, 2009 07:29 AM (GMT)
My family also has certain Psychic a001nd Deductive abilities. I don't believe it myself, but in 2001 there was a mysterious light and earthquake that was only felt and seen by people in my home. During the time of the seismic activity my mom said I went missing for a while, which was weird because I fell asleep on the couch with her. During that night I have faint memories of bright lights and odd figures.

patthekitsune - July 14, 2009 08:55 AM (GMT)
You know, I've had vague memories of being abducted by aliens too when I was really young. I hope they come back for me someday.

Brando the Renegade - July 14, 2009 09:02 AM (GMT)
I forgot to mention something else, after that day my intelligence began growing quickly and my body structure began to change drastically. I used to look like my father when he was younger, but after that day my head began to grow quickly. My attitude and and mood also changed that day.

patthekitsune - July 14, 2009 09:05 AM (GMT)
Apparently, according to my mom at least, I used to be nice. But since I don't remember ever having been nice in my life, perhaps that was the alien's doing.

Xanando - July 14, 2009 09:14 AM (GMT)
There is this phenomena where people will wake up mid dream, but their bodies have not waken up yet, causing them to be paralyzed and still dream even though they are awake.

patthekitsune - July 14, 2009 09:53 AM (GMT)
I've had that happen to me numerous times. I know when I'm dreaming but I can't always leave it right away. But my dreams are different. They're never about real life experiences. They're too bizarre.

Brando the Renegade - July 14, 2009 09:57 AM (GMT)
Yeah, that happens to me all the time, but the dreams I experience during that time are very realistic and innapopriate.

Lets get back on topic: Crop Circles Real or Bogus.

Xanando - July 14, 2009 10:13 AM (GMT)
I think farmers create those for attention

Brando the Renegade - July 14, 2009 10:28 AM (GMT)
Well some crop circles are man made, but the ones made by aliens do have certain characteristics. Odd Patterns, the compound of the flattened crops has changed and contains substances not found on earth, and the way there flatten is inprobable for a human to do.

Xanando - July 14, 2009 10:40 AM (GMT)
I also think that david bowman exists in the cosmos somewhere

Hint: 2001 a space odyssey 2010 o2 and 2061 o3

Parakaitz - July 14, 2009 02:52 PM (GMT)
My thoughts:

Aliens: Obviously. The universe is so vast Earth's creatures can't be the only living beings among it.

Ghosts: Yes, but that's all I will say because discussing ghosts tends to lead to religion

Mythical creatures: Most of them, yes

UnMitzTakeable - July 14, 2009 03:04 PM (GMT)
Aliens: If they don't exist, then I'm a housecat. I'm pretty sure because we can't be the only life forms in this universe. I won't say all aliens are intelligent life forms though.

Ghosts: I believe in them, but I'd rather not go into complexities.

Mythical creatures: Depends. Some I'm convinced not. Others like Bigfoot and Chupacabra I'm convinced exist. Them and the Yeti/Abominable snowman/etc.

Crop circles: The rare real ones--those ones are some of the freakiest shit I've ever seen. There was one around in here like...a few months ago.

Brando the Renegade - July 15, 2009 05:53 AM (GMT)
Let's talk Sasquatch. real or bogus?

ZergSwarms - July 15, 2009 09:33 PM (GMT)
I believe that extraterrestrial life exists. I doubt it is anything humanoid with big eyes, but more like bacteria. While we can't rule out the existence of intelligent life beyond out own planet, it is far more feasible to start small and move up. Do I believe in stereotypical aliens? Not really. Do I believe in extraterrestrial life? Let's just say it's more feasible than little green men.

I believe ghosts exist.

Mythical creatures, not really. Considering our ability to unearth and study fossilized organisms, I would have assumed that they would have found remains of some of these creatures. While the fossil record is hindered by the fact that many ancient organisms are left unaccounted for due to their soft bodies(animals without hard body parts do not fossilize well), not many mythical creatures I know of have such features. Many of them resemble mammals.

As for crop circles, I am unsure. I have heard that it is a natural phenomenon connected to soil conditions, but I don't know if that's been proven or is simply speculation.

Cooked Dan. - July 16, 2009 12:42 AM (GMT)
Debatable conversation is fun, yet debatable.

Aliens exist. We can't be the only coincidence. I don't remember where, but I remember reading about how they've found bacteria on Titan (or whatever the big moon Saturn has is called) Apparently it's basically made of frozen water, and has a small atmosphere, or something. But I could be wrong. O:

Ghosts, I'm iffy about.

Mythical creatures: Not really. Hence, myth. Most of them were made up like myths to accompany Greek stories and such.

Crop circles: No, I don't. People do that for fun all the time. Part of this goes with the aliens-are-probably-nothing-more-than-bacteria thing. But if aliens actually did evolve into bigger things, the probability of them being humanoid is pretty slim, I'd say. Intelligence is more probable, but if they're smart, it doesn't mean they're a pack of Einsteins.

Mrs. Cool - July 16, 2009 05:15 AM (GMT)
ya'll know of the Evil Penguins from space that stole my sanity....when i was 13, i woke up in the middle of the night, saw a penguin, in a piratey outfit, It said it took my sanity and that when i turn 20 i could have it back. I asked it why it wanted my sanity. It said it needed to borrow it.
I asked it where it was from, said some planet whose name sounds like a bunch of squaking to the human ear.

then there's Centaurs. I don't know if they exist or not, but if they do... and reancarnation is the case, then i want to come back as a Centaur....
either that or a mermaid... which i'm pretty sure exist.

Xanando - July 16, 2009 05:17 AM (GMT)
Addy exists, pirate penguins... Yeah no. Thats way too implausible

Mrs. Cool - July 16, 2009 05:20 AM (GMT)
you saying my other personality is a mythical creature?!
*Draws Swords*

Xanando - July 16, 2009 05:26 AM (GMT)
Hold wr need to go back on track. Who here believes that a minotaur exists?

Brando the Renegade - July 18, 2009 01:27 AM (GMT)
The Minotaur is a very mysterious creature, there isn't many evidence supporting it. Plus there are no recent sitings. The only real evidence is of ancient Greek, Roman, and maybe other ancient European cultures.

So for now I'd have to say Bogus!

UnMitzTakeable - July 18, 2009 01:43 AM (GMT)
On the Mythical creatures thing: is it likely that there are fossils of the ones that are more recent? IE: Sasquatch/bigfoot, and the chupacabra? (I keep hearkening back to it because the earliest appearance of a chupacabra as far as I've researched is the 1970s. Not nearly enough time for it to have appeared in the fossil record.)

Xanando - July 18, 2009 01:52 AM (GMT)
They need to be 1000 years old to form on the fossil record.

UnMitzTakeable - July 18, 2009 02:26 AM (GMT)
QUOTE (Xanando @ Jul 17 2009, 05:52 PM)

Exactly.

And I don't know of any chupacabra fossils so far. Therefore...there is still a possibility of recent mythical creatures such as the chupacabra existing.

Not to mention there's the evidence of the attacks the chupacabra made. Most of them in Puerto Rico and Florida, but the point is, the attacks are all of the same pattern, and there's no way a human or any wild animal could have made a whole gaping hole in an animal that looked precisely round but jagged with teeth marks, and sucked the whole innards of an animal out.

Xanando - July 18, 2009 03:21 AM (GMT)
Um... Pictures plz

I don't know but if centuars exist... then minotaurs definately exist.

Brando the Renegade - July 18, 2009 05:50 PM (GMT)
What about... Nessy!

Thoughts on the Loch Ness Monster, Real or Bogus?

Mrs. Cool - July 19, 2009 09:38 PM (GMT)
totally real.

Cooked Dan. - July 20, 2009 12:43 AM (GMT)
Loch Ness monster is almost certainly real. It could be possible that he isn't living anymore, but there probably was a time where he lived.

Centaurs, the Minotaur, mermen, or anything else that's human mixed with animal are completely bogus. Horses/goats and humans would not form together like that since they're not even on the same evolution chain. And fish aren't even in the same order as humans.

Xanando - July 20, 2009 01:40 AM (GMT)
Rachels other persona is a centaur... Therefore they exist. Also Nessie existed at least. It is probably related to an ichtyosaur.

Brando the Renegade - July 20, 2009 05:19 AM (GMT)
I agree with Dan on the Centaur/Minotaur theory.

How about my favorite creature the Dragon! Real or Bogus?

Xanando - July 20, 2009 05:20 AM (GMT)
I own a bearded dragon. So yes they exist.

Brando the Renegade - July 20, 2009 05:22 AM (GMT)
I believe that Dragon's exsist, but how do you own one?

If you're telling the truth prove it, send us a picture.

Xanando - July 20, 2009 05:25 AM (GMT)
Its a lizard... Their name is bearded dragons... Anyways the ancient chinese saw fossils of dinosaurs, and they believed those to be dragons.

Brando the Renegade - July 20, 2009 05:32 AM (GMT)
Personally I believe Dragons exist because many ancient civilizations have stories of Dragons. These ancient civilizations aren't all one area: We know of the Eastern European Dragon, Chinese Dragon, Japanese Dragon, Phillipines Dragon, even American Dragons (not Disney!) and more.

Xanando - July 20, 2009 05:39 AM (GMT)
I think that dragons are fucking awesome... Unless that twilight bitch writes about them...

Brando the Renegade - July 20, 2009 07:28 AM (GMT)
Let's hope that ass doesn't ruin dragons for me too.
One of my theories on Dragons are actually Aquatic Creatures or live near large masses of water. Because Dragons Tales tend to take place near coast lines and water bodies.

What do you think?
