Okay, I've decided to get into Yu-Gi-Oh, and I happen to know someone willing to make a deck for me.

No "banned cards" are in the group I'd be playing with, as in they'd allow stuff like Exodia etc.



I'm not sure what kind of deck to move towards. Any advice? :o

Okay, built a quick 60-card dinosaur deck outta someone's spare cards. Didn't get a chance to use it.

Funny story, this... the game I was going to use it in (only went like 2 turns in, 4-person free-for-all), one of the people was obviously cheating, yet nobody called him out on it. 3 Blue-eyes White Dragons + Polymerization on his first turn. Second turn, sacrificed the Blue-eyes ultimate for a blue-eyes shining. Also, his shuffling was really suspect. Should have asked to shuffle it after him! :v

But yeah. If he just got it randomly, like he actually said, it would have 0.000008239% chance of it happening with 3 copies of each card in a 60-card deck. (Yes, I calculated it! :v )

Next time, I will call him out and shuffle his deck. If he resists, I can call him out on a cheater. If he doesn't, he loses his perfect cheated hand. Perfect tactic! :v

You shold do what I did when I used to play Yu-Gi-Oh! Create a Deck focusing one group of cards. Apparently you chose Dinos.

I used Kuhribo cards. Kuhribo, Winged Kuhribo, Flute of Summoning Kuhribo, Multiply, etc. All of the cards in my deck somehow revolved around one of the Kuhribo's. It ended up being a mostly Fairy deck with some Fiends.

There is a lot of decks like this. Elemental Hero deck for example.

Not that I know of. I happen to know someone obsessed with cyberdragons.

Luckily he doesn't have many at all.

Yugioh isn't balanced. That's its problem and that will always be its problem.

Neither is magic actually. Although you're less likely to run into a guy playing "Yawgmoth wins" in a Magic game as you're more than likely to run into a guy playing Cyber dragons in a Yugioh game.

I agree, especially with the addition of the new Tuner/Synchro Cards from 5D's.

Also about the Cyber Dragon Deck, I think a Gemini Deck or a Ojama Deck can bypass some of it.

Yeah, SOME of it. I doubt it'd be much use against a cyber dragon deck that runs Jinzo though.

And since they're both machines, that's a beneficial team-up that's bound to be common. I know every cyber dragon deck I faced back when they first came out ran Jinzo.

Limiter removal, Drillago, Reflect bounder, Mechanical chaser. And those are all that I could name off the top of my head.

Power bond + Limiter removal = Overkill.

Another way to stop a Cyber Dragon Deck is to stop all fusion and special summonings. There's a card that does something like that, but I can't think of it

Okay, black tyranno OTK is -very likely-. I just got Black Tyranno, already have Ojama Trio and am likely to get other needed cards.

Okay, while trading for dino monsters and related cards en masse i stumbled across... one of the oddest fakes ever.

The card is golden, and has a pic of Yami Yugi on it. Its card name is Yu-Gi-Oh, and it's a trap. An equip trap. The card is so obviously fake, but its card detail text box is the best ever. It contains the following text:
